Web Designer Internship

Our ideal candidate will enjoy the technical and problem-solving aspects of digital media as well as having an interest in web development and UX research. You have experience working with HTML/CSS editing tasks, WordPress, and some sort of web development environment, and are comfortable working as part of a team.

We are a virtual organization and as a remote worker you must be comfortable and able to work 100 per cent of the time from a home office. To be successful as a remote worker you need to have a self-starter attitude, possess strong organizational and time management skills, and be a proactive communicator. Having a home office environment that provides for a productive, professional, and safe work environment during regular working/business hours is a requirement of this role.

About the Role

• Responsible for posting content to the website through the use of WordPress, WooCommerce, and related tools.
• Takes creative assets such as images, websites, videos, data visualizations and other digital media and assists in preparing them for publication, through resizing, etc.
• Quality assurance, and ensuring that designs meet brand guidelines
• Assisting with the designing, prototyping and testing web pages and/or other digital applications
• Assisting with the posting products to the e-Commerce site, and tagging them appropriately, as per instructions.
• Interpreting web analytics metrics and practically applying findings to increase the overall usability of applications
• Work collaboratively with e-Commerce team to meet deliverables
• Support the Web Team as needed on other tasks
