Web Designer

Description:

Responsible for web and graphic design needs executed in WordPress and HubSpot environments. Skill set should include good project management, organization, strong visual communication, thoughtful design eye, attention to detail, and expertise in web development & design.

You will support the marketing team for all web-based properties. Aligning and working with the team on upholding the strategies as set by Head of Marketing in execution. You have a voice: offer consideration to the team and help the team make the right decisions to drive the required outcome.

Some work will be executed as directed, but you are not just a doer, you think about how to improve the brand presentation across design mediums. Your input will be valued and called upon to help the team make better decisions.

Job Duties:

• Design and implement the visual and architecture need of the corporate marketing owned websites, blogs, landing pages, email templates, digital ads and ad print media from initial concept, site architecture, and user interface to finished deliverable.

• Code and implement WordPress sites from Photoshop layout through HTML/CSS to a custom theme, functions, and plugins.

• Work closely with content and design team to troubleshoot, test, and maintain websites and servers to ensure optimization and functionality.

• Be a subject matter expert in various spheres of web development and suggest an upper management team with potential innovative ideas to improve website design and functionality.

• Lead the design and implementation of new features, enhancements, and content for existing websites.

• Create and update re-usable code libraries to streamline WordPress development cycle.

• Write clean, well-documented code and/or support, extend and/or enhance existing code. Maintain existing websites.

• Efficiently test and debug issues as problems arise and document technical and functional specifications as required.

• Ensure the security of websites – ex: sanitizing input data, blocking malicious traffic, etc.

• Ensure that we meet ‘go-live’ deadlines for all sites and design projects.

• Provide technical consultancy to project stakeholders.

• Interface with North American Marketing team daily.
