Description:
Triton Environmental Consultants Ltd. (“Triton”) is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Warehouse Coordinator to join a well-established team of environmental professionals in our Vancouver, BC office. This position entails providing a wide range of support to our warehouse, administrative, and technical staff.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Acting as key steward of the internal control of all our offices’ warehouse activities; ensuring that inventory management and reliable delivery of equipment is in line with service level objectives
- Building and maintaining good working relationships with the Operations Managers, Project Managers, Project Coordinators, other staff members, and various other service vendor providers
- Inventory management duties, tracking, and providing input on both current and anticipated future inventory requirements
- Asset management duties and ensuring that company assets are protected, secured, and maintained
- Communicating and preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports for upper management
- Assisting in developing warehouse policies, procedures, and processes, as well as communicating this information to both management and employees
- Washing vehicles, conducting minor maintenance and repairs to field equipment
- Ensuring that shipments are stored in the warehouse and in an orderly manner
- Purchasing and picking up supplies from local supplier vendors
- General tidying of warehouse and equipment
- Ensuring that all safety processes and procedures are followed and providing recommendations as to how safety can be continuously elevated to the next level
- Other minor office administration duties as required
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-2 years of experience in a related position
- Having some mechanical inclination and understanding how to troubleshoot basic equipment malfunctions
- Having some technical schooling and/or a trades background is considered an asset, but not required
- Familiarity with typical environmental consulting field gear and surveying equipment not required, but an asset
- Comfortable driving full-size pick-up trucks and towing trailers
- Experience with computers, MS Office Suites and specifically Excel, scheduling tools, and applicable software
- Willing to work flexible hours and shifts including occasional evenings and weekends
- Physically fit and able to lift to 50 lbs
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Valid driver's licence from a Canadian province or territory acceptable for driving alone and with passengers in a work setting. Due to rental vehicle restrictions, candidates must be 21 years of age or older and have a clean driving record.
- Preference is for a resident of Metro Vancouver, BC or the surrounding local area; there is no employer-provided relocation and/or travel reimbursement being offered.
