Warehouse Clerk Summer Student

As a Warehouse Clerk Summer Student, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute as part of our team, work alongside and learn from experienced and talented professionals. Reporting to the Manager, Supply Chain, you will support the Stores team with a variety of projects. At Burlington Hydro Inc. This position requires you to be onsite at our 1340 Brant Street location.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review, create and update work instruction process documents for the Purchasing & Stores department
• Implement stock location strategy in the warehouse/yard
• Develop process documents to align with the stock location strategy
• Integrate stock locations into iXp
• Execute cycle stock process with the stockkeeper
• Assist with various stockroom and yard duties as directed by the Stockkeeper
• Other duties as assigned

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Active enrolment in a recognized post-secondary educational institution; concentration in Supply Chain/Operations is an asset
• Knowledge of warehouse processes
• Process improvement interest/experience
• Development of formal work processes
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
