We are looking for a passionate and skilled Volunteer Grant Research and Writer to join our team. In this role, you will assist in identifying funding opportunities, crafting compelling grant proposals, and supporting our efforts to obtain grants that will further our mission. This is a volunteer position that offers the flexibility to work remotely and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grant Research:
- Conduct research to identify potential funding sources, including foundations, government agencies, and corporate sponsors.
- Stay informed about industry trends and funding opportunities relevant to RISEC’s mission.
- Proposal Writing:
- Develop and write clear, persuasive, and well-organized grant proposals that align with our mission and goals.
- Tailor proposals to specific funders, including preparing narratives, budgets, and supporting documentation.
- Proposal Management:
- Collaborate with RISEC team members to gather necessary information and data for proposals.
- Ensure proposals comply with funder guidelines and deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of grant submissions and outcomes.
- Reporting and Evaluation:
- Assist in preparing reports and updates for funders as required.
- Support monitoring and evaluation efforts to assess the impact of funded projects.
Qualifications:
- Strong writing and research skills, with experience in grant writing preferred.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to produce high-quality written content.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Familiarity with grant management and research tools is a plus.
- Passion for community development and non-profit work.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with grant research and writing within the nonprofit sector.
- Knowledge of the funding landscape and grant-making processes.
