Description:
As a Virtual Office Administrator you will be responsible for delivering a client-centric journey with a focus on creating a great client experience that results in strong and lasting client relationships. To succeed in this role you will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Finalization and timely filing of federal and provincial returns, including corporate year ends (and related tax returns), personal tax returns, and T4/T5/T3 returns.
- Proofread and final review of formatting of financial statements.
- Ensure required authorization and tax forms are completed accurately and submitted to the appropriate agency.
- Maintain electronic filing system
- Update client details and staff allocations with the firm’s CRM and job management system.
- Coordinate system access/subscription transfers for cancel client jobs
- Provide high quality support to both our team internally and to our clients, as needed, through our ticketing system.
- Complete and submit applications for various CRA and provincial agency account registrations (i.e.: WCB, EHT, sales taxes) as needed
- Provide coverage for colleagues as needed
- Contribute to innovation, which may include initiating process improvement, documenting new or updated procedures, developing standardized templates and collaborating with the larger team on such initiatives.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR*
- Experience with Mac OS, cloud accounting and tax software programs is considered an asset
- Experience with Google Suite of applications is considered an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently, with little supervision, but willing to ask questions or obtain assistance when needed
- You’re skilled in learning new programs and systems
- You have strong organizational skills and an ability to multi-task competing priorities
- You have a passion for excellent client services
- You have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with others towards a common goal
