Video Coordinator

Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Get familiar with and understand the current Cogeco IPTV solution architecture
• Get familiar and understand the details of the existing IPTV backend APIs and metadata model.
• Develop and validate a hosted microservice able to retrieve, manipulate and serve metadata in a test project on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Develop or review any other service jointly identified during the co-op term.
• Work in a small and dynamic Video engineering team to gain understanding and knowledge of existing systems and tools.
• Interact with solution architects to gain an understanding of Cogeco best practices for GCP hosted services.
• Collaborate with the Video Product Management and Digital Video Services team representatives to define and capture the requirements of the dynamic metadata feeds to be developed.
• Develop simple functional test plans to validate the newly developed dynamic metadata feeds.
• Document the solution developed and complete knowledge transfer to the Video engineering team members identified
• Demonstrate the solution to other team members

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

ACADEMIC TRAINING

• Currently in 2nd or higher year of a bachelor program in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Experience in programming and APIs

• Experience developing hosted web microservices
