Video And Motion Graphics Specialist

Description:

The Video and Motion Graphics Specialist will create and execute videos and other relevant digital content, using an array of video, animation, motion graphics, photography, and other techniques. The role will support the overall strategic direction of the University through the delivery of powerful content, which enhances Western’s ability to build its brand locally, nationally, and internationally. This includes creating content that inspires and engages our diverse audiences and enhances Western’s reputation through visual storytelling. The Video and Motion Graphics Specialist will also assist in the resolution of technical issues in both production and post-production stages of a project and will provide guidance regarding best practices.

Qualifications

Education:

• College diploma related to video shooting/ editing/ storytelling and motion graphics
• Bachelor’s in Communications or Journalism preferred
• Film Drone flying certification would be an asset

Experience:

• 3 years of multimedia design/production
• 3 years of experience in story telling via videography
• Experience with advanced video storytelling techniques on multiple platforms
