As Yorkville University continues to invest in the future success of their students, they are seeking an inaugural Vice President, Teaching and Learning who will play an integral role in Yorkville University’s academic vision of transforming lives by championing pedagogical innovation and establishing Yorkville as a differentiated national leader in online learning and student success.

The VP, Teaching & Learning will work directly with the President and the Provost and collaboratively with other senior leaders of the University, to champion the development, implementation, and evaluation of programming, initiatives, and services that promote pedagogical innovation, academic program development and teaching excellence. The VP Teaching & Learning will lead and promote Yorkville University’s learning experience design and curricular support teams, and the Centre for Excellence in Teaching & Learning, to support Yorkville’s vision of being the top choice for students seeking personal and professional transformation through higher education.

The new Vice President will be a highly respected and dynamic academic leader who is dedicated to excellence in teaching, learning, and student success, ideally in an online environment. As an ideal candidate, they will have demonstrated understanding of the advancements in online learning and a commitment to supporting mature domestic and international students in their academic and life ambitions and enabling student access to higher education. A collaborative leader and problem solver, the VP Teaching & Learning will possess an understanding of the opportunities facing higher education, in particular with respect to curricular development and pedagogical innovation, as well as the challenges that lie ahead. A Masters' degree is required and a PhD would be preferred (in progress or at completion).
