Description:
The UI Manager is responsible for creating and improving visual designs across digital products built at TheAppLabb. The incumbent will lead the efforts to build a design system for the projects they work on. They define the interactions and oversee the handoff process with the developers. The UI Manager will be responsible for the hiring & building the UI team of around 4 to 5 resources.
Role Responsibilitie
- Be a great team player, experienced in working with agile teams. Ability to collaborate closely with developers, copywriters and UX designers.
- Architect, design and implement front-end framework and services using
state of the art UI frameworks and libraries.
- Create, improve, and use wireframes, prototypes, style guides, user flows, and effectively communicate your interaction ideas using any of these methods.
- Present and defend your design decisions. All your design decisions should be based on the overall design roadmap as well as your own design thinking and fundamental principles (i.e., color theory, visual weight, etc.)
- Continually keep yourself and your design team updated with the latest changes in your industry’s standards.
- Offer recommended solutions to clients’ design and usability problems
- Help conduct user research and evaluate user feedback
- Rapidly iterate on design prototypes and working applications.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Leadership:
- Lead design projects from discovery to handing final high-fidelity design files to engineering and QA.
- Delegating tasks to design team members and overseeing work done, continuously providing feedback, and organizing effective and efficient collaboration.
- Provide constructive support, advice and project rollout updates during leadership meetings
- Create a positive atmosphere by demonstrating a Growth Mindset and Lead company values by example
