Description:
- B.A.Sc. or higher in Civil Engineering or related field. Preference may be given to applicants with a B.A.Sc. (or higher) in Civil Engineering with courses in Traffic or Transportation Engineering field.
- Registered or immediately eligible* for registration as a P.Eng. with the EGBC.
- Note: Immediately eligible is defined as being registered as a professional Engineer in another Canadian jurisdiction, and able to transfer that membership to the EGBC within 6 months of employment. It is the responsibility of the applicant to have their qualifications reviewed by the appropriate body to ensure they have the necessary requirements for registration.
- A minimum of five years related experience working in the either Traffic or Highway Engineering. Years as an Engineer-In-Training count towards the 5-year requirement.
Preference may be given to candidates with experience in 1 or more of the following:
- Experience dealing with senior officials, including engineering professionals and other stakeholders to provide information, advice, and guidance on traffic and highway safety engineering policy, programs and compliance issues.
- Experience drafting or preparing a variety of technical written reports, detailed analyses, briefing notes, etc.
- Experience with traffic simulation modelling software.
Provisos:
- Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 B.C. Driver’s Licence.
