The Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) is seeking a Technology & Cyber Security Business Advisor (Project Lead) to deliver standard and customized advisory services in cybersecurity and technology for Canadian entrepreneurs. The role involves managing project delivery, providing subject matter expertise, and supporting business development to help businesses grow and implement cybersecurity standards.

Key Responsibilities:

💡 Cybersecurity & Compliance Consulting:

• Deliver advisory services focusing on cybersecurity and technology standards, including:
  • ISO 27001, SOC2, PCI DSS, NIST (Cybersecurity)
  • ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100 (Quality Management)
  • ISO 14001, ISO 45001 (Sustainability)
  • GMP, HACCP, GFSI (Food Safety)
• Support businesses in implementing cybersecurity frameworks and compliance programs.

📊 Project Management & Delivery:

• Lead project planning, execution, and quality assurance for advisory services.
• Monitor project scope, budget, and schedule to ensure successful delivery.

📢 Business Development & Sales Support:

• Conduct client needs analysis and contribute to proposal development.
• Work with Client Partners to transfer knowledge and expand service offerings.
• Develop marketing content and contribute to promotional activities.

🧑‍🏫 Subject Matter Expertise & Training:

• Stay updated on market trends and best practices in cybersecurity and food safety.
• Provide strategic coaching to businesses and contribute to industry outreach.

Minimum Requirements:

✔ Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
✔ 5+ years of consulting experience in food safety and cybersecurity programs.
✔ HACCP / SFCR Training & Internal Auditor Training.
✔ Strong knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 27001, ISO 9001, SOC2, etc.).
✔ Proven project management experience in consulting and advisory services.
✔ Strong communication, presentation, and business development skills.
✔ Bilingual (English & French) preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

✅ GFSI Training (SQF, BRC, or FSSC 22000).
✅ Deep understanding of cybersecurity and risk management.
