Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Drafting technical reports as well as other required project documents, as needed.
- Creating the User Guide in accordance with the federal government technical publication writing guidance.
- Collaborating with subject-matter experts to ensure content is technically accurate and relevant.
- Reviewing and analyzing project documentation created by the technical team.
- Combining comments from circulated drafts and preparing final and related documents.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining End User Guide documentation, and providing sufficient textual and visual information to assist the user in completing specific tasks independently.
- Translating the document into Canadian French for review and approval.
- Working independently, as well as collaborating with other business and technical peers, to balance and support multiple documentation projects and releases.
- Contributing to improving processes, standards, and templates for the team.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have:
- Education:
- BA, BS, or equivalent in English or communications with strong technical skills.
- Experience
- 5 years of experience in professional technical writing or training.
- Must possess in-depth technical writing experience with Government of Canada IT-related documents.
- Technical skills:
- Experience with Microsoft 365 products, such as SharePoint Online, Teams, Office 365 applications (Outlook, Viva Engage) security policies and best practices, etc.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
