Technical Solutions Manager

 

Description:

The Technical Solutions Manager (Network Solutions Architect) interfaces with all affected stakeholders both internal and external to ISM Canada in a matrix environment. This role is subject to regular business working conditions and occasional travel is a requirement of the role. This role is also expected to evolve as ISM Canada’s business evolves.

The successful candidate will be a results-oriented IT professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with proven interpersonal and communication skills.They must have a demonstrated ability to deliver to client needs, often under tight timelines, to meet or exceed client expectations; and a deep knowledge and proven skills in network routing, switching, automation, transport and cloud infrastructure.


The preferred location for this position is Ontario, Alberta, or Saskatchewan; however, the location will also be dependent on the location of the successful candidate.

Responsibilities:

Delivery

  • Provide quality assurance services on projects to ensure that the quality of delivered solutions reflects what was proposed.
  • Put together enterprise network solutions within large complex organizations.
  • Provide thought leadership and project advisory services to clients on a billable basis.
  • Conduct technical interviews in conjunction with QA.
  • Assist in the management of vendor alliances to position ISM as a leading service provider.
  • Results oriented IT professionals with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Architect large scale network solutions to meet requirements of opportunity pursuits and projects.
  • Create Architectural Artifacts for large small, medium and large scale solutions.
  • Provide training / coaching to other ISM architects to promote professional growth and ensure consistent delivery of quality solutions.


Sales and Marketing

  • Provide opportunity pursuit services starting at awareness generation stage through to proposal and closing of the sale.
  • Work closely with sales account teams to assist in the development of account plans and qualification of opportunities.
  • Responsible for describing the solution, defining the approach and estimating in client proposals.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of marketing events, including: seminars, speaking engagements, and authoring engagements to stimulate demand creation.
