Team Leader Quality Programs

Description:

We are looking for a Quality Leader, to join our Inpatient Surgical Specialties Program. This includes 3 inpatient surgical units encompassing the surgical services of: General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Otolaryngology, Urology, Burns and Plastics.

In this role, you will act as the primary leader for comprehensive quality management programs across the programs, and you will be the expert resource for staff on quality management issues and will lead and support the development of quality indicators, process improvement and risk management.

This will include:

• Planning, implementing and evaluating quality and process improvement programs
• Participating in hospital wide and local area committees to drive impact and practice changes
• Developing protocols/practices/algorithms that maximize team collaboration, standardization, and data informed decisions.
• Providing leadership to programs for accreditation and Health Canada Standards.
• Fostering a culture and environment of safety and quality.
• Working collaboratively with the Point of Care Leadership team, and clinical director of the program to influence and implement process improvements.

Here is what you will need:

• Possess or be actively pursuing a Masters degree (preferred)
• Relevant experience in Quality Management or Safety Championing
• Must have demonstrated project management skills and high functioning data analytic skills
• Proven leadership skills and excel in both working with, and fostering a team environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Demonstrated ability to be highly motivated to take initiative and produce results
• Experience in the healthcare sector and acute care pediatrics is an asset.
