Description:
Within the guidelines of authorized corporate policies, procedures and programs, this position is responsible for the direction of the Maintenance Department Associates, Preventative Maintenance Program, Planning of all maintenance activities and ensuring that the Fort Erie facility is maintained in a safe and efficient manner.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES
- Utilize Rich Product’s Great Leader Drivers to coach and supervise the Maintenance Department for frozen dough (4 production lines) and Parbake (2 production lines), Ammonia Refrigeration system and all plant support systems, infrastructure and grounds.
- Assist in the implementation and lead and coach department staff in the TPM model.
- Ensure that the plant is maintained, and the Production lines operate safely and efficiently in order to achieve AOP and all department metrics.
- Coaching and Training of Department Associates and ensuring that all associates are trained according to the Pay for Skills guidelines.
- Leads the department associates to achieve a better maintained plant with an exemplary safety and efficiency record.
- Assist Department Manager on keeping department within budget.
- Manage Maintenance Stores and Parts Inventory utilizing SAP.
- Use critical thinking, experience and breakdown analysis techniques do drive improvements across the plant.
- Write and distribute reports to the maintenance department and plant staff. ie: Daily shift reports, monthly TPM reports, 6W2H’s, breakdown analysis reports, etc.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- 5-10 years maintenance and/or supervisory experience.
- High School Diploma or Certified trade (Mechanical or Electrical)
- Refrigeration Trade or Certification (A or B) - plus
- Familiarity with Inventory and Preventive Maintenance programs
- Excellent computer skills – email, word, excel, sap, etc.
- Excellent communication skills – in person, phone, and electronic.
