Description:
Geotab, a global leader in IoT and connected transportation, is seeking a Team Lead, Machine Learning Operations to mentor and coach a team responsible for developing and maintaining scalable machine learning pipelines. The ideal candidate will work closely with data scientists, software developers, and product managers to transition research models into production, leveraging Big Data and Cloud-based technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable production machine learning pipelines and end-to-end AI solutions.
- Utilize Big Data and Cloud technologies for machine learning model deployment.
- Work with Google BigQuery, Python, and SQL to interact with large datasets.
- Develop and optimize classifiers using machine learning techniques and frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow).
- Process, cleanse, and verify data integrity for model building.
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement end-to-end solutions.
- Provide technical leadership in AI/ML, data pipelines, and software engineering.
- Manage team expectations, task assignments, and encourage continuous learning.
- Support global strategic initiatives within Geotab.
Candidate Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Software/Computer Engineering, Physics, Statistics, or Mathematics.
- 5-8 years of experience in applied machine learning, deep learning frameworks, and ML libraries.
- Strong knowledge of probability theory, data modeling, and optimization algorithms.
- Familiarity with SQL, No-SQL databases, and cloud-based computing frameworks.
- Experience in statistical analysis, predictive analytics, and multivariate testing.
- Proven leadership experience in a team-oriented workplace.
