Tax insurance is actively used to facilitate M&A transactions, tax credit investments and as a corporate risk management tool. However, a significant opportunity exists to broaden the use of tax insurance in Canada. Successful team members are entrepreneurial and highly motivated to contribute to the growth of this in-demand and fast-growing business in Canada.

• Structuring and placing tax insurance programs on behalf of Aon’s clients
• Supporting the production efforts of Aon’s retail producers
• Attendance at important tax related conferences around North America to promote Aon’s tax insurance team

How This Opportunity Is Different

The position in Toronto is a new position commensurate with the growth of Aon’s tax insurance business. Our new colleague will assist Aon colleagues to drive increased adoption of tax insurance with existing Aon clients and prospects and prospects new to Aon. Ideal candidates will be mid-level to senior tax lawyers with significant professional expertise and an established professional network as well as client facing experience delivering tax-related services. Candidates should have a strong background in income taxation and significant experience with Canadian tax law and assessments and the tax ramifications of business transactions.

The position will be at the VP level and will have a Toronto and Canadian focus. It is anticipated that the position will involve travel, once it is regularly permitted, to support producers through Canada and collaborate with the New York-based team and insurers.
