Systems Administrator Student

 

Description:

This position is located at our district office in Edmonton, AB. Remote work is not available.

Responsibilities

  • Desktop application troubleshooting and support.

  • Assisting with configuration and deployment of network equipment (switches, routers, VPN).

  • Creating requisitions for IT equipment and replacing office hardware.

  • Setting up new hire system accesses and equipment.

  • Logging and responding to technology related issues and requests.

  • Troubleshooting technical issues with users.

  • Creating process documentation.

  • Assisting in a variety of other customer service & systems related tasks as required.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree or diploma in a related study.
  • Proficient knowledge of computers (Microsoft office basic hardware support).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an appreciation for detail and accuracy.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to evaluate and integrate technology as it relates to the needs of the business.
  • Ability to read basic network drawings.
  • Basic hardware and networking skills.
