The BALI team is a sub-team of the IT Delivery group at Bell. This young team is tasked with creating a new network monitoring solution for products sold to large enterprises. Our solution is built on recent technologies like ElasticSearch and soon BigQuery. We are looking for a highly motivated individual, capable of succeeding in a challenging environment, to develop, with creativity and innovation, solutions essential to the success of our platform. Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance and improvement of an ElasticSearch and Kafka cluster
- Participate in the development of the solution (architecture design and technology choices) for migrating to the cloud
- Ensure code quality and implemented solutions through "pair programming" and "pair review"
- Ensure the stability of the architecture and intervene in case of bugs or outages (DevOps)
Critical Qualifications
- At least 4 years of concrete DevOps experience
- Experience with ElasticSearch (BigQuery and GCP are an asset)
- Mastery of using GIT and CI/CD tools
- Knowledge of REST API
- Experience with technologies such as: Ansible Playbook and Ansible Tower, Terraform
- Agile development experience
- Proficiency in French and effective communication in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Computer science degree (college and university)
- Participation in distributed system architecture
- Understanding of DevOps and GitOps principles
- Good understanding of a CI/CD flow
- Knowledge of Docker
- Experience with Kubernetes or Openshift
- Familiarity with Unix-based systems
- Experience in software performance analysis
- Passion for emerging new technologies
- A good sense of humor
