Description:
- Responsible for training and collaborating with the HFA floor monitors to ensure that despite gender segregation all areas of the fitness facility are maintained to the same standard
- Supports staff and volunteers in their efforts to deliver products that meet and exceed members’ expectations
- Updating schedules and Member notices, tracking Specialty Group Fitness class registration and attendance, ordering amenities and supplies for the Plus locker rooms, controlling locker assignments and training new HFA staff
- Provides active support to the Membership Sales and Service team with CSM administration, and by giving potential members tours of the facility Daily upkeep of the health and fitness facility
- Interacts with members to ensure they receive the best possible experience during their visit and encourages participation in all Y programs and services
- Occasional program teaching requirements to cover absenteeism
- First responder to members’ complaints in some cases
- Ability to maintain an ongoing calm demeanor, especially in high-stress situations

The successful candidate will have the following:
Education
- Post-secondary education or equivalent in a related field
- Fitness certification in one, or some of, Aquafit, Yoga, TRX, Functional Fitness, Post Rehab (or others), preferred
Language
- Fluent in English, oral and written
- French Language is an asset
Experience, Abilities & Skills
- One to two years of previous experience in a hospitality or customer service position preferred
- Knowledge of database/client management systems is needed
- Experience working in a Self-Directed environment with limited supervision
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients
- Excellent Customer Service Skills particularly as it relates to members’ experience
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR/AED certification
- Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and effectively lead a staff team
- Must be able to lift items weighing up to 25 lbs
