Description:
You will be responsible for:
- Internal and external stakeholders are provided with comprehensive support, expertise, information and consultation related to vital statistics legislation, system applications, enabling technologies and business policies and procedures through leadership of a team of Vital Statistics Specialists.
- Providing direction to the staff in the use of the Vital Statistics System (VISTAS), including leadership to support the integrity and security of information in this system, the evolution of the business, and modernization to enhance the business and operations.
- Ensuring information pertaining to vital events is administered in accordance with vital statistics legislation and Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy legislation.
- Collaborating with representatives of various business unit/stakeholders, other ministries and jurisdictions for a coordinated approach to vital statistics administration and continual improvement of legislation, policies and business operations including cost savings and efficiencies.
- Providing leadership, mentoring and modelling of the GOA’s core values, while continuing to meet GOA’s business requirement in an environment that is fair, equitable and transparent.
