Summer Camp Leader

 

Description:

  • A University or College degree, or working towards, (may include education, museum studies/interpretation, arts, or social work).
  • Experience with school program delivery and/or working with children/youth within a museum or community non-profit organization (may include pertinent volunteer/community work).
  • Experience designing programming for and working in a summer camp/children’s camp setting would be considered an asset.
  • Passionate about being a member of a dynamic team developing new initiatives and programs.
  • First Aid training is considered an asset.

Skill Requirements:

  • Interpersonal skills: effective communication (verbal and written); non-judgmental listening skills; ability to deal with people from diverse backgrounds and identities, must be able to work as part of a team; must show initiative.
  • Time management and problem-solving skills: Must be able to adapt and solve problems/make decisions as they arise
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite considered an asset
