Student Receptionist

 

Description:

  • Retrieve messages from general delivery voice mail and forward them to appropriate personnel.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls; determine the purpose of the call, and forward calls to appropriate personnel or department.
  • Take and deliver messages or transfer calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel is unavailable.
  • Screen calls and reroutes or responds to inquiries as appropriate, such as: providing caller with address, directions, and other information within the scope of duties.
  • Welcome on-site visitors, determine nature of business, and announce visitors to appropriate personnel.
  • Receive, sort, and route incoming packages and mail.
  • Accept resident co-payment cheques, trust account cheques, and payment for Summit Pharmacy, Hairdressing, and Massage Therapy, and forward to the proper destination.
  • Assist residents and visitors to enter and exit the building in a safe manner when required.
  • When requested, assist with infection control screening/signing in of staff and visitors.
  • Create and print fax cover sheet, memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents when necessary.
  • Perform other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying and collating.
  • Give information to and prepare information for residents, resident family members, customers, employees, managers and others as required.
