Student Ambassador

Description:

Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) is seeking Student Ambassadors to engage with prospective students through the Unibuddy platform. As a Student Ambassador, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment and providing insights into student life at KPU. This temporary part-time role offers the opportunity to develop communication skills, network with peers, and contribute to the university’s recruitment efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with prospective students on the Unibuddy platform, responding promptly to inquiries

• Provide a friendly and approachable introduction to KPU, sharing personal experiences and insights

• Offer accurate and detailed information about campus life, programs, and student resources

• Support the Recruitment and Admissions team by forwarding queries related to admissions, scholarships, and more

• Participate in virtual events, webinars, and outreach activities to promote KPU

• Collaborate with fellow Student Ambassadors to develop creative engagement strategies

• Keep records of common questions, concerns, and feedback for continuous improvement

• Maintain a professional and positive representation of KPU at all times

• Assist with small-scale projects across different divisions within KPU International

Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled in a certificate, diploma, or degree at KPU

• Strong interest in international studies, education, and student life services

• Positive attitude, flexibility, and teamwork skills

• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to helping others

• Creativity and research experience

• Strong organizational skills, including punctuality, reliability, and time management

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Knowledge of KPU’s student services and resources

• Proficiency in English (proficiency in a second language is an asset)
