Stage Manager

Description:

The successful applicant will be required to perform professional stage management work in scheduling, coordinating and supervising departmental theatre productions, including stage managing productions and supervising student stage managers. Duties include delivering stage management classes to students in the stagecraft program; demonstrating proper techniques; assisting in the coordination of scheduling and organizing of productions within the program; coordinating departmental rehearsal schedules, including properties, furniture, costumes, touring schedules, rehearsal rooms and daily changes; maintaining production prompt script and communication call board; overseeing backstage activities; and performing other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience (3-5 years) in professional stage management, preferably including experience with students in a theatre training program; graduation with a Bachelor's degree or diploma from an accredited theatre training institution; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Knowledge of current techniques in stage management is required.
