Sr. Specialist, Signature Event Operations

The Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) is seeking a Sr. Specialist in Signature Event Operations to plan and execute operational elements of their signature fundraising programs. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Signature Event Operations, this role involves collaborating with internal teams, external partners, and suppliers to execute the logistical and operational aspects of key events, enhancing participant, volunteer, and sponsor experiences, and supporting revenue objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute event logistics for Signature Programs, ensuring all program elements are delivered on time and align with national strategies.

• Lead surveys, incentive programs, and fundraising rewards efforts to optimize revenue generation.

• Manage event logistics for Relay For Life and Run for the Cure, overseeing on-site operations and volunteer coordination.

• Liaise with stakeholders to maintain the flow of communication and ensure that program elements are executed effectively.

• Develop and maintain event materials, manage budgets, and ensure adherence to timelines.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of tools to enhance event operations.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education (college diploma, technical/professional training, or equivalent).

• Over 3 years of experience in progressively senior roles, ideally in event operations or a similar field.

• Fluency in English; French is an asset.

• Strong organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of Salesforce and Luminate Online is a plus.

• Experience with special event operations, volunteer management, and fundraising is beneficial.

• Ability to innovate and drive improvements in event operations and fundraising strategies.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive salary ($56,000 - $84,000 CAD).
