Description:
You will be a highly accountable leader with a deep passion and understanding of security risk management, and you must be comfortable operating in a demanding and fast-paced environment. A demonstrated ability to effectively influence and interact with senior executive management and functional teams is essential.
This position will be based within travel distance of either our Waterloo, ON or Richmond Hill, ON office.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Develop, execute, and manage strategies for the global security functional programs under your responsibility. This includes physical security risk management, standards and controls office security design, project management, compliance and audit preparedness, organizational preparedness, business support and enablement, security training and awareness.
- Contribute strategically and operationally to develop and manage our protective services programs including executive security and support, corporate event security, travel risk, and workplace violence.
- Lead the development of our physical security threat and risk assessment methodology.
- Lead threat assessments, risk assessments, and/or recommend operational and physical mitigation measures for any OpenText office with the need to travel occasionally to visit these offices.
- Lead the implementation of employee safety programs that aid in the prevention of threats and violence in the workplace and support our incident response.
- Develop appropriate dashboards and metrics to measure performance and to keep leadership apprised of security matters.
- Oversee global third-party security services contracts and vendor management aligned with area of responsibility.
- Collaborate in the development of new security programs and assist in the deployment of these programs globally, including the development and maintenance of program policies and processes.
- Lead the team through effective procurement of vendor, supplier, and manufacturer support, including developing the strategy and model for this support. Ensure compliance with SLA/KPI’s in place with security contractors/suppliers.
- Research and implement state of-the-art technology solutions and innovative security management techniques to safeguard the company’s assets.
- Develop security awareness and training campaigns using various multi-media platforms.
- As a member of the crisis response team, assist the business continuity/crisis management team during any emergency/crisis.
