Description:

As part of BDC’s digital transformation, we are looking for candidates who are passionate with innovation and wish to contribute to the development of BDC’s financing services and others offered to our clients via our digital channels. Our objective is to provide an intuitive self-service and omnichannel client experience. The development of our digital services is based on automation, advanced analytics, and artificial intelligence in an agile delivery mode. Selected candidates will join a squad responsible to deliver specific functionalities within a product team.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, documenting, and maintaining our infrastructure, as well as improving our deployment processes. The ideal candidate must have a good understanding of both software development and systems administration.

  • Maintain and support all applications within a product family

  • Build and maintain tools for deployment

  • Collaborate with the squad developers in the application deployment processes

  • Actively involved in operations activities and participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support

  • Collaborate in the Incident and Problems troubleshooting, resolution and post-mortem activities

  • Implement and utilize the right monitoring tools to proactively detect potential issues

  • Automate manual processes to improve efficiency and reliability

  • Implement security best practices to ensure data privacy and integrity

  • Develop and maintain documentation for processes and procedures

  • Be an active participant in agile ceremonies and team meetings

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps or related field

  • Strong knowledge of Sharepoint

  • Strong scripting skills in at least one language, such as PowerShell and Yaml

  • Experience with containerization and Cloud Services (Docker, Kubernetes, Tanzu)

  • Knowledge of network protocols and security best practices

  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure, such as AWS and Azure

  • Ability to work independently (on call support) and in a team environment

  • Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies

  • Good written and documentation skills (Confluence & ServiceNow)

  • Bilingualism (French and English) is essential.

  • Great knowledge of the following technologies: Azure DevOps, Dynatrace, Splunk, Mulesoft, Tanzu, ActiveMQ, Certificate management and Hashicorp Vault.
