The Specialist, Business Development (New Construction Partnerships) role is a strategically important part of the overall Bell Consumer strategy, and has been designed for a quick-thinking and logical professional who wishes to work and lead in an evolving and fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will work to improve upon Bell’s already strong position in the Greater Toronto Area, and will be part of a high-performance and high profile team. The Specialist will align carefully with Bell Senior Leadership to improve the company’s processes and approach for all clients, especially those who work less frequently with Bell today, and work closely with developers of single-family unit (SFU) homes and residential multi-dwelling unit (MDU) buildings to create and maintain lasting relationships.
Ultimately all job duties will contribute toward the team objective securing a variety of FTTH wiring and marketing partnerships.
Critical Qualifications
- Understand key differences between developers and how Bell can approach individual businesses to drive stronger partnerships
- Build and implement account specific strategies
- Work to meet SFU & MDU wiring and marketing rights agreement targets: Through a consultative selling process, ensure each residential development site within each account is signed to a wiring & partnership agreement
- Analyze, understand and speak to market trends, major players, opportunities, threats and levels of urgency
- Work within Salesforce.com to track all funnel details and account & deal progress, successes and challenges
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong connections to the new construction industry in the Greater Toronto Area
- Minimum 5 years of experience of sales, business development, or relationship/partnership management, ideally in the MDU or new construction space
- Proven ability to bid and win exclusive or unique deal opportunities
- Strong background in process creation
- Outstanding and proven people skills; ability to influence C-Suite leaders
- Experience managing day to day operational and administrative requirements
- Telecom industry experience is an asset
