Your future duties and responsibilities
• Create solutions and design for projects to client’s standards for technology and ensure they meet our clients’ ambitions for availability, security, resilience, and performance.
• Produce design options with associated costs, benefits, and risks to enable investment decisions.
• Work with product owners, architects, platform, and project teams to agree trade-offs between, long-term and short-term goals.
• Responsible for the integrity of the end-to-end solution across Platforms, including transition states used to achieve target state.
• Shape and estimate IT initiatives and feature team sprints, ensuring that component parts deliver against business outcomes.
• Provide leadership on key designs to ensure the long-term strategic goals are met as well as short-term project needs.
• Ensure design artefacts are produced to support stakeholder group for service, security, architecture and engineering.
• Peer review the design artifacts of others
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams, with members from both CGI, the client, and partners, to develop solution designs to complex problem domains.
• Work with clients to develop technical strategies and roadmaps, then present them to senior client leadership.
• Continually keep abreast of new developments in the wider industry and be able to apply them to deliver added value to clients.
• Mentor other architects in the organization into more senior roles.
• Ability to be 'hands-on' and help with code when required.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Minimum 3-5 years hands-on experience with design and implementation of integration solutions.
• Experience with both relational RDBMS and NOSQL concepts.
• Experience with both batch & real-time integration technologies, i.e. MFT, ETL, Kafka, WMB, Fuse, MQ, various API Gateway
• Experience with a variety of relevant technologies, including RESTFUL APIs (XML, JSON), SOAP APIs, and Micros Services.
• In-depth understanding of industry standard of building secure and scalable solutions to support internet facing APIs
• Experience implementing Web Services, SOA.
• Experience with implementing integrations to both On-premise and cloud infrastructure, i.e. AWS cloud platform.
• Excellent knowledge of architectural design patterns
• Experience with development tools, CICD and code automation technologies.
• Experience with Agile project methodology and tools such as Confluence and Jira.
• Experience delivering complex leading-edge solutions with the ability to dive in and out of the details when needed.
• Strong communication and time management skills. Positive attitude that fosters productivity in a team setting.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to "own" the issue and solution and follow it through.
• Personal and/or Commercial Insurance experience
