Software Test Designer

Responsibilities

  • Design, execute and maintain verification and validation scripts written in Python
  • Deploy and monitor tests in a continuous integration system
  • Collect and analyze real-world GNSS/INS data
  • Create/maintain test design, specifications, runs, results, and compliance to requirements
  • Troubleshoot test failures and investigate issues for root cause analysis
  • Participate in process improvement activities
  • Collaborate with developers, systems engineers, and product and project managers

Qualifications
Must-Have:

  • Degree in Geomatics/Electrical/Software Engineering/Computer Science or related technical field
  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience including co-op experience will be considered
  • Experience writing and debugging Python or C++
  • An inherent desire for producing high quality work and continuous improvement
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Experience analyzing datasets
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license

  • Experience with:
    • Knowledge and understanding of GNSS theory and principles
    • Test automation using Jenkins (CI/CD)
    • Source control using Git and/or Perforce
    • ASPICE V&V process areas
    • GNSS simulators
    • ISTQB Certification or similar
