Software Engineering Manager

Description:

Cority, a leading global provider of Enterprise EHS software, is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead small engineering teams in delivering high-quality software solutions. This role involves managing development projects, mentoring engineers, driving product innovation, and ensuring timely product releases.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in .NET, C#, JavaScript, and Agile methodologies, along with a passion for mentoring engineers and building scalable SaaS applications.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Manage and mentor a team of software engineers, conducting task planning, code reviews, recruitment, and performance management.
✅ Drive automated unit testing and reduce reliance on manual testing.
✅ Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility.
✅ Lead development efforts from requirements gathering to coding, testing, and deployment.
✅ Collaborate with Product Management to ensure product features align with the roadmap.
✅ Guide senior engineers to become subject matter experts in key application areas.
✅ Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
✅ Foster an open, innovative, and highly productive team environment.
✅ Work with cross-functional teams to identify and eliminate blockers affecting project progress.

Required Skills & Experience:

✔️ 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer working with SaaS applications.
✔️ 5+ years of experience with .NET Core, .NET Framework, and C#.
✔️ Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Angular/TypeScript.
✔️ Experience with MS SQL Server, stored procedures, and SQL queries.
✔️ Understanding of object-oriented programming, Agile methodologies, and Scrum.
✔️ Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities.
✔️ Ability to mentor, lead, and inspire a team of engineers.
✔️ Strong communication skills with a focus on collaboration and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

✔️ University Degree in a relevant technical field (or equivalent experience).
✔️ Experience in EHSQ&S industry (preferred but not required).
✔️ Knowledge of mobile device testing (an asset).
✔️ Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
