What you'll do:
- Collaborate closely with Designers, Product Managers, Data Scientists, and other cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless and engaging user experience.
- Build new features on top of our Service-oriented Architecture.
- Iterate quickly using Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment principles.
- Articulate a technical vision and execute it.
- Help adopt and extend Yelp’s AI-leveraged backend systems
- Give back by mentoring other engineers and sharing the skills you learn.
What it takes to succeed:
- Several years of relevant industry experience.
- In-depth experience with building effective APIs (like REST or GraphQL).
- Relevant experience in at least one server-side programming language.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills demonstrated through effective teamwork across design, product, and engineering teams.
- An eagerness to learn and embrace scalability, reliability, and performance challenges.
