Responsibilities

  • Ideate, create and publish engaging digital content (including original copy, images, video, reels and digital ads) on a daily basis that builds meaningful audience connections, increases brand awareness and encourages community members to engage with the Harbourfront Centre brand.
  • Strategize and collaborate with the marketing and programming teams to develop high-impact social media campaigns and content calendars.
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and trends, creating high-quality, on-trend content that resonates with audiences (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Threads, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube).
  • Monitor and analyze social media metrics across all digital channels on an ongoing basis, contributing to monthly digital reports to generate data-driven insights for future campaigns.
  • Quick to react and respond to relevant online news and social dialogue in the arts and culture community.
  • Champion our online communities by engaging our social media following, building key relationships with community partners, and sharing user-generated content.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of proven social media marketing experience.
  • Proven experience with high-impact social media content creation and management is a must (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn).
  • Exceptional copywriting skills across all digital channels, able to write targeted messages for various audiences and segments.
  • A passion and curiosity for creative storytelling and implementing bold content ideas that adapt over time.
  • Strong attention to detail and a good eye for aesthetics and design.
  • Self-starter who values collaboration and excels working independently and managing multiple projects at a time.
  • Excellent knowledge and skills in photography, video production and editing.
  • Working knowledge and experience with applications to support social media management and analytics (Meta Business Suite and HubSpot).
  • Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, CapCut, Canva, and other content creation software skills are considered an asset.
  • This role requires a flexible schedule that includes at times coming on campus during evenings and weekends to capture performances and festivals for social content. When not on campus capturing content, this role follows a hybrid model of working from home and within the office.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Non-Canadian applicants must have a valid employment Visa and proper documentation authorizing their ability to work in Canada.
