The Social Media & Communication Advisor is at the heart of AIRB’s public engagement initiatives, tasked with developing dynamic social media content that informs and empowers Alberta’s 3.5 million drivers. In this role, you will create and manage text, image, and video content across AIRB’s social platforms, driving awareness about essential driver education resources. Reporting to the Policy and Communications Advisor, you’ll be integral to shaping AIRB’s public image, crafting messages that reflect the Board’s mission to educate and support Alberta’s insurance consumers.

 

 

Roles and responsibilities include:

 

 

  • Content Creation & Strategy: Design and implement creative content that resonates with diverse audiences across AIRB’s social media channels, including original text, graphics, and video materials focused on auto insurance education.
  • Engagement Monitoring: Use key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor, track, and report on engagement metrics, helping to refine and optimize future content.
  • Content Calendar Management: Develop and maintain an editorial calendar, ensuring timely, relevant, and consistent communication across all channels.
  • Community Engagement: Actively moderate social channels to gather user feedback, respond to inquiries, and identify topics for future content, nurturing a supportive online community.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to create presentations, key messages, and blog content that communicate AIRB’s driver education initiatives to a wide range of audiences.
  • Trend Analysis: Monitor industry trends and social media performance, contributing insights to adjust content strategies and address emerging topics that impact Alberta drivers.
