We have a great full time job opportunity in Mississauga! We are looking for someone that has experience in dealing with over sea's containers and international freight. Will be working with a great team in a growing work environment.
Must have experience in overseas containers/international FRT . Tracking, dealing with brokers/customs.
Job Details:
- Procures, receives, and issues materials, supplies, equipment and tools
- Tracking of shipments
- Excellent customer service and communication as you are dealing with brokers directly
- Inspects shipments and records damages or defects; notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel of same.
- Ensures delivery to job site or area.
- Records pertinent information in computerized inventory and financial systems.
- Prepares purchasing and accounting paperwork such as small purchase orders and requisitions; reconciles invoices with purchase orders in preparation for payment processing.
- Corresponds with suppliers for quotes
Shift:
- Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience in a related position with customs experience
- Knowledge of accounting procedures involving procurement, travel, and/or employment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
- Experience with records maintenance and database management
- Basic math skills
- Knowledge of plumbing supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.
