Who are we looking for as a Maintenance Service Technician? Our Montreal branch is looking for a worker who's interested in the field of bio-medical (dental) device and equipment repair. The Service Technician will provide maintenance/repairs on a variety of dental equipment and products. The technician learns and follows manufacturer guidelines relative to the repair of devices.
Major Duties
- Determines the parts, supplies or tools required to complete service requests.
- Uses, maintains and secures test devices and tools used to adjust, calibrate and repair equipment.
- Repairs equipment to manufacturer specs.
- Ensures the service commitments are met within standard response time.
- Work with Sales Representatives' to present Maintenance Agreements to customers.
- Follow repair and manufacturer schedules for customers on Service Agreements.
- Complete all required paperwork i.e. work orders, repair tags, equipment loaner tags.
- Learns and follows specific manufacturer guidelines for repairs as well as all company policies related to asepsis.
- Trains customers on the use and basic maintenance of all equipment sold.
- Ensures proper vehicle maintenance guidelines and safe driving habits are followed.
- Manages inventory and restocks when necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- Electronics diploma or any other relevant experience.
- 5+ years of field repair work experience in the dental or medical environment.
- Valid driver's license and driving record in good standing.
- Excellent organizational skills and good problem-solving skills.
- Motivated worker with great team spirit and manual skills.
- Knowledge of the MS Office suite.
- Knowledge of SAP software an asset.
- Strong customer service skills required.
- Excellent command of written and spoken French.
- Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written. The employee will work 40% with English-speaking customers and 60% with suppliers outside Quebec. All technical support from our Canadian and American suppliers is offered exclusively in English.
