Description:
We are seeking a talented and creative UI/UX Designer to join our growing team. This role is crucial in designing engaging and intuitive user interfaces for our automated contract review solution (ACRE), which streamlines the review of insurance and indemnification clauses in commercial contracts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in user-centered design principles, a passion for creating seamless user experiences, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Specific Accountabilities:
• Create wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes to visualize design concepts and user flows, ensuring a clear understanding of the user journey.
• Develop visually appealing designs that align with ACRE's brand identity and enhance the overall user experience.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights into user needs, behaviours, and pain points, and apply findings to inform design decisions.
• Work closely with product managers, developers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure that designs are feasible, aligned with product goals, and meet customer requirements.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across products and streamline the design process.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UI/UX design, applying new techniques to enhance ACRE’s design.
Scope/Dimensions
• Critical role as a member of the ACRE team, in striving to ensure an optimal overall user experience, and in supporting the short, medium and long term goals of the company up to and potentially including an external sale process.
• The is a start-up company and the individual in this role will be responsible for building relationships with the Customer Service Manager and the Product Owner.
Contracts (Working Relationships)
• Internal relationships include communication with some corporate functions (incl. Insurance, Communications)
• External relationships include frequent communication with external customers (incl. Brokers, Advisors, Developers, Others)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment.
• Extensive portfolio showcasing previous design work, including wireframes, prototypes, and visual design.
• Proficiency in Figma and ideally Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent understanding of user-centred design principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with front-end development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to facilitate effective collaboration with development teams.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and articulate design concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
