Senior Software Engineer

Description:

Arctic Wolf, a leading cybersecurity firm with a unicorn valuation, is seeking a Lead Developer to contribute to its mission to End Cyber Risk. This role is part of the Certification & Compliance Group, responsible for delivering a secure, high-performance security appliance. The Lead Developer will guide a team of developers in designing, implementing, and optimizing software solutions to ensure compliance with industry standards while maintaining top-tier security and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Technical Leadership & Development:

• Provide technical direction and mentorship to the development team

• Guide the design, implementation, and automated testing of high-performance software

• Ensure compliance with best practices in security and performance optimization

• Develop end-to-end solutions for Linux-based security appliances

✔ Project & Compliance Management:

• Lead complex projects from initiation to deployment

• Break down business requirements into technical specifications

• Work on compliance standards such as CMMC, FIPS, and security certifications

✔ System Optimization & Maintenance:

• Oversee monitoring, performance tuning, and system maintenance

• Develop secure and scalable solutions to enhance Arctic Wolf’s cybersecurity capabilities

Technical Requirements:

📌 Expertise in Linux-based software development, including Linux internals
📌 Experience with Linux packaging toolchains, networking, and filesystems
📌 Strong programming skills in C++, Go, and Rust
📌 Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
📌 Git-based version control and best practices

Preferred Qualifications:

✅ Experience in cybersecurity, security appliances, or compliance standards
✅ Knowledge of security certifications and regulatory frameworks
✅ Experience working with global, diverse teams in a high-performance environment
