Senior Security Engineer

Description:

The Security Engineering team is looking for a Senior Information Security Engineer to join them. Working in an agile environment, you will have the exciting opportunity of managing security technologies that are currently deployed globally across Sun Life and help plan and deploy a diverse range of security technologies which monitor and protect sensitive data and systems from infiltration and cyber-attacks.

What you will do?

• Lead security initiatives and enterprise level projects implementing security solutions and performing POC/POV for new technologies

• Support and manage existing security technologies that are currently deployed globally across Sun Life.

• Implement new security controls and capabilities into existing technologies and be responsible to deploy, support and maintain new security technologies that are deployed within Sun Life and owned and supported by the Security Engineering team.

• Be part of a 24x7 on-call support team and be required to join major incident management calls to provide support and consultation for technologies supported by the Security Engineering team.

What you will need to succeed?

• An Information Technology University degree/college diploma in related discipline(s) or equivalent work experience

• 3+ years of experience in information technology

• 3+ years of experience in the information security field

• 3+ years of experience in the successfully leading global information security projects

• Experience with end-point detection and response, intrusion detection, certificate management, email security and web content filtering technologies.

• Experience designing secure networks and endpoint systems

• Experience planning, researching and developing security policies, standards and procedures.

• Experience in a system administration role supporting multiple platforms and applications.

• Experience with Windows and Linux based operating systems.

• Experience in deploying enterprise level technology via managed projects.

• Knowledge of networking technologies, firewalls, web application firewalls and intrusion prevention systems.

• Knowledge of AWS cloud technologies.
