Our Rail Corridor Access & Control (RCAC) Office is looking for a Senior Corridor Rail Officer to join our team to develops and implement rail corridor access contractual terms and conditions for all CPG construction works. You will provide oversight of and performs in-field assessments of activities on all CPG construction sites to ensure that the works are safely and effectively executed in compliance with contractual agreements
What will I be doing?
- Implements and develops detailed construction planning in accordance with the existing terms of all applicable standards and contractual obligations for multiple and simultaneous CPG construction works requiring contractor access to active rail corridors
- Integral part of team responsible to develop, implement and oversee accountability for rail corridor access for all CPG construction aspects (AFP, non-AFP, New Stations, and DBFOM and State of Good Repair and maintenance. Uses knowledge of all current and future CPG construction work in the development of contractual obligations and conditions with respect to access scheduling that ensures efficient utilization of rail corridor access and track protection while minimizing stakeholder impact
- Liaises with Manager, CPG delivery and operations staff and other internal stakeholders to raise awareness of situations of non-compliance and issues that will impact service delivery; recommends solutions that will minimize impact to customers
- Regularly prepares corridor access schedule reports and planning and scheduling analysis
- Builds strong relationships with all internal CPG stakeholders regarding the planning of rail corridor access scheduling and to address conflicts and issues
- Works with contractors and CPG customers to review and discuss rail corridor access and to ensure conformance to contractual obligations and recommending solutions to contract, process, track protection and safety compliance issues
- Maintains awareness of current and future construction works in order to plan and schedule corridor access with minimum disruption to service
- Teaches internal CPG stakeholders, operational stakeholders and contractors how rail corridor access process works, expectations, responsibilities and contractual obligations
