Senior Product Owner

Description:

In the role of Group Product Manager, Rapid Solutions, Regulatory Programs, Personal Lending & Insurance (PL&I) you will support the analysis, design, and implementation of Rapid Solutions that will enable us to apply tactical solutions to remediate PL&I deficiencies. You’ll be responsible for supporting and developing our Rapid Solutions to identify gaps, find root causes, and develop quickly implementable solutions to any deficiencies that impact the ability of CIBC to comply with regulatory commitments. You will use your strong knowledge of PL&I products, processes, and controls to continuously evolve our solutions to maintain regulatory compliance in an evolving environment.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How You’ll Succeed

Product Management- Work in a fast-paced dynamic team environment that takes the following approach to regulatory issues that require deep understanding and fast resolution, i.e. Rapid Solutions:

• Define – understand the newly identified issue, and any overlap with existing issues, and be able to present it succinctly to senior leadership

• Measure – using a data-driven approach, understand the impact of the issues, e.g. number of impacted clients/accounts, etc.

• Analyze – understand the underlying root cause(s)

• Improve – design & implement solutions to address the root causes. The solutions might be in the form of new/improved preventative/detective reports, changed products/processes, etc.

• Control – work closely with the Regulatory Programs Control Management team to develop/update control reports and transition them from Rapid Solutions to BAU execution.

• Create proposals regarding developments/enhancements for controls, programs, products or services and make recommendations to the senior management regarding their impact, effectiveness and feasibility.

• Act as subject matter expert and/or delivery lead in the development and implementation of the Rapid Solutions
