Provide Client’s Strategic Direction
- Creates strategic direction for client’s brand and marketing programs, using research to build complex brand and marketing plans
- Helps clients devise strategies to increase sales and market share
- Determines how all facets of a client’s marketing must be changed to align with strategic direction
- Uses research of the external environment (including competition) to provide a further focus for the strategic direction of the client
- Acts as an extension of the client’s marketing team, consulting on and considering all aspects of their marketing initiatives
- Develops strong brand concepts that are authentic, differentiating, and compelling
- Develops complex, go-to-market and brand-launch strategies
- Uses creative language to help craft brands that are poignant, unique, and expressive
- Leads projects, providing guidance and reviewing the work of other team members as necessary
- Follows up daily with client and project teams to ensure smooth workflow and that timelines and budgets are being met
- Meets with clients one-on-one to obtain marketing information and understanding
- Creates an understanding of a client’s internal and external environments, using research
- Maps out trends that will affect clients based on research
- Sets industry standards and benchmarks for a client’s marketing
- Obtains quantitative data pertaining to a client’s marketing situation
- Acquires qualitative information that gives context and insight into the client’s marketing situation
- Coordinates suppliers of marketing tools and information to generate project information
- Presents reports to clients and receives feedback from them, in conjunction with the account representatives
