As Senior Manager, Medical Planning, you will lead operational activities, business planning, manage special projects and drive high priority strategic organizational improvement and effectiveness initiatives from ideation through successful execution. You will be empowered to ensure the delivery of crucial strategic priorities and effective operations of the Scientific Affairs Leadership Team (SALT).
The COS partners closely with the SALT and key collaborators across the organization. As a member of SALT, the individual is expected to be a full contributor to all leadership team discussions and topics, participating in the most relevant meetings and offering synthesized business perspectives relevant to influencing key strategic decisions. This role will ensure execution and pull through of all strategic decisions.
Direct support to the Vice President for the scientific affairs strategic priorities
Ensure VP has a broad view of critical considerations, and elevate issues as necessary
Build forward thinking recommendations for crucial decisions to be made by VP
Supporting the VP in internal and external meetings, including the following:
Lead and plan effective SALT meeting agenda and follow up on agreed action plans
Leading the compilation of appropriate briefing materials
Drive execution and performance of key projects and objectives
Set strategic direction and principles using regional and global input
Assess, redesign, and bring new insights to manage critical processes for optimized efficiency and productivity
Support and build cross-functional relationships to enable leadership success
Lead the development of the SA annual scorecard, ensuring input from all LT members. Review progress with LT quarterly
Maintains a high degree of understanding and awareness of new strategic and portfolio management trends and developments
