Description:
OPTrust is looking for an exceptional Senior Manager, HR Technology & Operations, to join us on a 20-months contract. This person will be reporting directly to the Director, People and will be managing team of two people. As a motivated self-starter, this professional will have a solid project management background for Workday implementation, operations, and integrations.
What You’ll Do
- Provide leadership and direction for the Workday program.
- Set the roadmap and strategic plan while leveraging the gains and efficiencies of the technology.
- Ensure that the HRIS is able to transform and/or streamline organizational goals and needs. This includes managing, prioritizing, and setting a plan for all Workday enhancements, including Workday’s bi-annual release of updates.
- Lead Workday projects/implementations for additional functionality or SKUs and serve as the internal advisory for all Workday related products in its ecosystem. This includes managing project scope, timelines, risks and acting as an escalation point re. issues.
- Provide oversight at all stages of the project from initiation, design, test and deploy.
- Manage external Workday stakeholders and relationships at all stages of a project, from RFP/planning, deployment through to post go-live support.
- Act as the contracts and procurement lead. This includes overseeing the application managed services (AMS) program by managing an external team of functional and technical consultants and subject matter experts (SME) dedicated to specific WD areas.
- Leverage proven change methodologies and create change management plans and materials to drive user adoption, usage, and proficiency at all levels of the organization.
- Solve both complex and BAU related issues related to the management of all 11 functional areas by liaising with internal stakeholders and working with the team to provide resolutions. Serve as a guiding source for the internal Workday configuration team.
- Manage and mentor the internal Workday team by developing their skillets to deliver on the Workday mandate, including the broad scope of functional areas.
What You Bring
- Post-secondary education in Business, Technology, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Workday Subject Matter Expert with 5 years of hands-on system ownership and implementation experience.
- A progressive HR Information Systems career, with at least 5-7 years of experience, including 2 years in leadership/management.
- Demonstrated experience in project and change management, PMI or PROsci certification preferred.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills including proven experience translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues/business partners in various divisions, external vendors, and stakeholder.
- Strong business acumen and proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities to drive results.
- Proven ability to lead through ambiguity, complexity, rapid change, with strengths in conceptual and analytical skills/critical thinking.
