Core Responsibilities:
- Brand & Marketing Strategy: Lead the development of innovative brand and marketing plans that are informed by a deep understanding of stakeholder insights, positioning, and organizational objectives.
- Campaign Planning, Development & Execution: Working with internal and external partners, lead the development and execution of marketing and advertising campaigns that align with Enactus Canada’s strategic imperatives and stakeholder objectives.
- Event Leadership: Provide oversight, guidance, and strategic insights, operational leadership in the lead-up to, during, and after Enactus Canada’s annual events. We host at least (4) flagship events annually and they are a critical component of our programming as our students compete at these events.
- Creative Development: Oversee and contribute to the development of creative content for all outbound communications functions. This includes (but is not limited to): press releases, media pitching, annual reports, stakeholder newsletters and emails, event & promotional collateral, video scripts, and social media content.
- People Leadership: Manage, coach, and provide mentorship to two direct reports: Manager, Marketing & Communications, and Manager, Events. While they execute on a day-to-day basis, your strategic advice and keen oversight are critical enablers of their success.
- Reporting & Learning: Identify clear KPIs for key marketing and events functions. Following program completion, lead post-program analysis to distill learnings, inform future communications and events strategies, and report on results to key stakeholder groups such as internal committees, global partners, and Enactus Canada’s Board of Directors.
- Partnership & Collaboration: Act as the key point of contact for internal and external counterparts to facilitate development, review, and drive best practices, shared learnings, and efficiencies.
- Financial Performance: Work with the leadership team to develop and manage a marketing budget in accordance with industry best practices.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with the Director, Partnerships, and Director, Programs to streamline workflows, and support each other’s success.

- College diploma and/or university undergraduate degree in communications, marketing, or a related discipline.
- Experience coaching and leading a team to achieve growth.
- Minimum of 4 years experience in a related environment, with at least two years in a management role leading and inspiring staff to excellence
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong leadership skills with a supportive and can-do leadership style.
- Strong relationship-building skills; we’re looking for someone that can confidently work with colleagues at all organizational levels, vendors, partners, and our Board of Directors.
- Computer savvy in the MS Office line of products and with CRM systems.
- Extensive event management experience.
- Experience in marketing and branding, including advertising.
- Budget management experience.
- Experience using marketing tools including Hootsuite, Meltwater, Constant Contact, WordPress.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Experience with the Enactus program while in college or university is considered a definite asset.
- The ideal candidate is also bilingual: French/ English.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
