What you will do:
- Leading client engagements
- Working closely with a Partner as a senior team member on tax planning work for clients
- Planning and organizing teams for the preparation of tax returns and conducting and presenting tax research
- Reviewing the work of junior staff for accuracy and completeness.
- Become part of the tax engagement team in servicing the planning and compliance needs of clients
- Providing ongoing support and mentoring for the professional development of staff
- Work with other office members in attracting new work to the firm
What you bring to this role:
- Experience leading large complex operational tax and compliance engagements focused on technology enabled tax processing for Canadian Funds, US reporting for Canadian investment funds (PFIC Reporting)
- Exposure to financial services for asset management clients or stakeholders such as fund accounting, fund reconciliation, compliance accounting or operational accounting
- Demonstrated business development experience in the asset management, tax compliance, investment or accounting industry
- Demonstrated strategic impact internally and for clients
- In-depth Tax Program completion is preferred but not required.
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Commerce, Economics or Finance
- Exposure to NAV production managment
