Description:
Oversees activities related to integrated student service delivery, student advising software systems, student-focused communications, and international education revenue generation, including related summer studies programming. Directly supervises a team of professional and clerical employees.
Directly supervises two teams: CATS and SSEM Operations units
Make recommendations on financial and human resources needs
Manage a team of professional and administrative staff
Create and offer opportunities for training and professional development for staff
Attend and chair senior level meetings and represent the unit at internal and external meetings
Responsible for the budget for Student Success and International Education, including budgets and financial expenses related to travel and recruitment activities
Oversee local risk management for SCS-sponsored, student-related events and activities
Strategy, Planning & Assessment
Lead development and implementation of an integrated student engagement and success strategy for prospective student conversion and current student retention
Lead development and implementation of a comprehensive internationalization plan
Lead development and implementation of a data-driven SCS-wide recruitment plan
Identify and lead the implementation of strategies for recruitment, advising and retention of students from under-represented groups or first-generation post-secondary students
Co-lead, with the Senior Manager, Enrolment Strategy and Services, the design and implementation of new purpose-built welcome centre space
Provides senior professional expertise in the development and implementation of SSEM strategic planning, key performance indicators, assessment methods, policies and standard operating procedures
Attend senior level meetings and represent the unit at internal and external meetings
