Senior I&it Architect

 

Description:

In the role of I&IT Senior Architect, you will:

  • Bring a digital mindset to technically lead large-scale, complex, high-profile and high-risk I&IT agile projects to deliver on various key government priorities including bringing simpler, better and faster services to Ontarians
  • Review and provide consultancy and advisory services to manage the planning, design, delivery and implementation of architecture solutions for large-scale and complex multi-year I&IT projects required to meet major and critical business requirements of ministry client(s) impacting internal/external stakeholders
  • Consult with clients, stakeholders, and senior management regarding technology goals, providing advice and recommendations to ensure effective solution delivery
  • Lead and manage large-scale migrations/integration of data and new applications into the Cloud environment using industry-leading solutions e.g. MS Azure, AWS, GCP and alternatives
  • Facilitate a variety of design-thinking activities and collaborative sessions to understand the problem a digital solution needs to solve
  • Provide leadership through architecture expertise and governance to high-performing teams of technical and business professionals in a matrix environment enabling agile approaches
  • Drive the conversion of technical requirements of a project into the architecture and design that will guide the final product, being responsible for bridging the gaps between complex business problems and solutions
  • Bring functional and technical design knowledge in Cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), Cloud technology (MS Azure, AWS, GCP etc.) and engage in varied strategic initiatives across I&IT clients
